I'll Wake Up at Twilight - Dovewing and Tigerheart

Tigerheart is the second biggest manipulative bastard of the entire series, the biggest being Raggedstar. And the fact that ANYONE could rival Raggedstar for being a verbally abusive, belittling, controlling bastard is mind boggling to say the least. Don't believe me? Let's see... he used Dovepaw for information on where to find catmint, the herb used to cure greencough, and captured her OWN SISTER to use as leverage against ThunderClan for the herbs. Then, he tries to manipulate her into thinking he cares by "warning" her about Dawnpelt planning to accuse Jayfeather of murdering their brother, but then sides with her at the gathering! And, big surprise, Dovewing doesn't trust him after all that! So what does he do? He seduces her into "going out" with him again, and attempts to emotionally manipulate her when she FINALLY comes to her senses and breaks off the relationship for good. Pay attention to the narration, "He stabbed the ground with his claws, 'You can give me up so easily'?" It sounds like he's either challenging her to break up with him, or he's surprised enough that Dovewing is independent enough to be capable of dumping him and being single afterwards. And his reaction to being dumped is unsheathing his claws into the ground? Like he's suppressing aggressive impulses? Even as Dovewing leaves, she's AFRAID of what Tigerheart may do in retaliation. If at any point in a relationship, one party fears the other in any way, shape, or form, it is NOT a healthy relationship! I am not going to pull any punches when I say this, and I don't care who is offended. If you truly ship DovexTiger, you NEED to reevaluate your values and expectations of romantic and unromantic relationships, I cannot stress that enough. If you truly think DovexTiger is a good pairing worth rooting for in the shipping pool, you NEED IMMEDIATE HELP.
